Jaime Enrique Alas Morales (born 30 July 1989) is a Salvadoran professional footballer who plays for Guatemalan club Municipal and El Salvador's national team.
Club career
Alas' professional career began in July 2006, when he signed a deal with the now defunct Salvadoran club San Salvador, the age of 16. He moved to Argentina to play in the River Plate reserves a few weeks after. He spent four years at the club before returning to El Salvador in 2010 to join Luis ngel Firpo.
Alas signed a deal with Rosenborg until the end of the 2015 season on June 29th. He joined the club on August 1st, 2012, when the Norwegian transfer window opened. He made his debut in a Europa League Qualification match against Servette.
Alas played just seven games for Rosenborg before he decided on a loan agreement with the San Jose Earthquakes in July 2013 that lasted until the end of the season in December. After recovering from loan, he joined Ballenas Galeana, Mexico's second-tier team. Ballenas Galeana was sold to Club Irapuato in the Mexican Ascenso MX in May 2014, Jaime Alas was sold to FAS in 2014.
International career
In a friendly match against Panama in October 2010, Alas made his El Salvador debut against Panama. José Luis Rugamas had called Jaime Alas to train with the senior team in preparation for the 2011 Central American Cup in January 2010. He was able to compete in the 2011 Copa Centroamericana and scored his first goal against Nicaragua's national football team on January 14, 2011. Jaime Alas competed in the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup. El Salvador advanced to the semi-finals of the 2012 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournament on March 26, 2012, after scoring in the 90+4' against the United States on March 26th.
