Jade Hassouné (born 18 February 1991) is a Lebanese-Canadian actor and dancer best known for his role as Meliorn in the US television series "Shadowhunters" and in Prince Ahmed Al Saeed's Canadian series "Heartland."
Early life
Hassouné was born in Lebanon and was born in 1946. When Hassouné was one year old due to war, his family emigrated first to Geneva, Switzerland, and then to Montreal, Canada in 1996. He enrolled in French school as a boy. He first became interested in acting when he was ten years old and joined a local theatre group. He graduated from John Abbott College's Musical Theatre program in 2008 before heading to study at the Canadian Film Centre's Actors Conservatory, which closed in 2012. Upon graduation, he went to Toronto.
Career
Hassouné appeared in the film Laurentie in 2011, his first onscreen role in his acting debut.
He auditioned for Alec in the Shadowhunters series on Netflix outside of the United States in June 2015. The casting directors called him back to audition for Raphael's role, but the following week, he was called back for another audition for the role of Meliorn. He was later selected to play this role.
Sam played Sam in season 2 of That's My DJ on YouTube in 2016. Sam, the series's main actor, is the focus of the season 3. He appeared in this season's production as well.
Hassouné was a member of Enigma Dance Productions and together they competed in the Cannery Got Talent competition, where they reached the quarter finals.
He collaborated with Ubisoft Toronto to produce the video game Starlink: Battle For Atlas.
Hassouné wrote an EP Love Letter to a Fandom in 2019, under the artistic name J4DE. "Insta Story," "To the Next," "Live Right Now," and "Human" are among the singles.
