Latimore was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Latitia Taylor and Jacob Latimore Sr.

As Ramon, Latimore has appeared in several major films, including Black Nativity (2013) as Langston and Ride Along (2014). He also appeared in the film The Maze Runner, which was released in theaters on September 19, 2014. He appeared in Collateral Beauty, 2016, and the street magic drama film Sleight, which was released on April 28, 2017. As Emmett, Latimore is currently on showtime's The Chi. In 2019, "Bilal: A New Breed of Hero," was released, in which Latimore performed as a voice over. He appeared in Like a Boss, a comedy co-starring Paul McCarthy in 2020. He appeared in Gully in 2021.

In 2005, Latimore's first single, "Best Friend," was released. "Superstar" was launched in 2006. T-Pain's hit song "Heartbreak Heard Around The World" was released in June 2014. Connection, his debut album, was released in 2016. Connection2, the sequel to Connection, was his second attempt, and it was released on April 26, 2019.
