Johanne Morissette Daug Amon (born June 2, 1996), better known by her stage name Morissette, is a Filipina singer, rapper, dancer, actor, and former actress.

She came to fame when she finished runner-up on TV5's Star Factor at the age of 14.

Amon made her professional debut in Disney's Camp Rock's repertory Philippines production in 2012.

In 2013, she appeared in The Voice of the Philippines' first season, where she joined Sarah Geronimo's staff. Amon was born and raised in Cebu, Cebu City, and she debuted her first album in early 2014.

"Nine years ago, we've met, bestfriends for seven years in our second round of love, each other's firsts, and now, our last and only... It's certainly a Y E S to a life with you." She continued, "She added that she has a dream." In 2013, Morissette and Dave appeared on The Voice of the Philippines. They married in 2021, which Morissette captioned on their wedding video "We are so excited to finally announce that we are married. Life and career

Johanne Morissette Daug Amon, also known as Morissette, was born in Cebu City, Philippines, on June 2, 1996, to her mother Analie Daug and father Amay Amon. She is the oldest child and has one sibling, Jeremy Mattheu Amon. She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy in Minglanilla, Cebu. Her father, who is a guitarist, is a rock star. Johanne, pronounced as "Yohan," was coined by her father, Johann Sebastian Bach, while "Morissette" was borrowed from her father's favorite singer, Alanis Morissette. When her family discovered her talent in singing, she was 3 years old. When she was left alone with a karaoke machine, she performed "You Are My Song" by Regine Velasquez. As she grew up, she performed Jessa Zaragoza songs, including "Paano Kaya."

Christina Aguilera's "Reflection" was her first singing competition held by a radio station in Cebu. She became a regular singing contestant in Cebu, winning titles such as Young Star Singing Idol. She became a finalist in the Little League of Little Big Star Cebu at 9 years old. She appeared on mall tours for various artists, including Sarah Geronimo and Kim Chiu, among others in Cebu. Morissette is known to operate a whistle register and has claimed she was inspired by Nina Girado, another Filipina singer. At the age of 14, she appeared on TV5's Talentadong Pinoy and immediately quit the competition, but the chairman of the board of judges encouraged her to enter a upcoming reality star search. She then signed a contract with production team Muller and Patton (Jaye Muller, Ben Patton) to record 14 songs written by them for Morissette. These songs were not released online or offline, but they were later released in two volumes on November 20, 2020, and March 21, 2021. She auditioned in Cebu, where the judges selected her as one of the finalists due to her eager aspiration to become a singer and performer. Morissette auditioned for Disney's Camp Rock: The Musical in the Philippines in 2012 and landed Mitchie Torres' lead role. From November 16 to December 16, 2012, the musical appeared onstage, Greenbelt 1, Makati City. Morissette's voice was honed by rehearsing and performing in the musical, and she was diagnosed with vocal cord nodules. Cassandra: Warrior Angel was Morissette's last film on TV5; she was not aware of it.

Morissette's appearance on television5 supported her family financially, but she wanted to pursue a singing career. She decided to enter The Voice of the Philippines, ABS-CBN's latest singing competition. Morissette performed "Love On Top" during the blind auditions, and with her strong vocals, she quickly made it to Team Sarah Geronimo. Geronimo chose her over teammate Lecelle Trinidad in the Battle Rounds as she sang "Enough Is Enough" during the Battle Rounds, bringing her into the live show.

"Jar of Hearts" was performed during Morissette's first live show. She obtained the most votes in Geronimo's team, with 57.1 percent, and advanced to the next level of the competition. Morissette performed "What About Love" on her second live show, and Geronimo selected her over former South Border member Maki Ricafort, who earned her 60% for her appearance. She advanced to the next round after being voted out of office by 50.4 percent. She sang Jessie J's "Who You Are" during the semi-finals, losing to teammate Klarisse De Guzman and being disqualified.

Morissette appeared on ABS-CBN's ASAP in 2014. Trina Belamide's self-titled theme song was recorded for the drama series Moon of Desire. More theme songs on ABS-CBN's "teleseryes" were followed by this. She was given a segment on ASAP called "HD" or "Homegrown Divas" together with her former coworker from The Voice of the Philippines, De Guzman and Angeline Quinto. She also appeared in It's Showtime, ABS-CBN's noontime variety show, where she was allowed to sing solo numbers. Morissette had the opportunity to show both her singing and dancing skills at this performance. After the show's hosts praised her for remaining her voice steady while dancing across the stage, she was accused of lip-syncing Ariana Grande's "Break Free." Morissette denied the allegation.

Morissette performed This Is Me, her first solo performance, on May 14, which doubled as her 18th birthday celebration. Her collection included international pop hits as well as ones from Filipino singers such as Regine Velasquez. She even paid tribute to her namesake by performing her own versions of Alanis Morissette's "Ironic" and "You Learn." During this appearance, she announced that she had joined Star Records, with whom she had signed a one-year deal in August 2014. Morissette performed theme songs for big movies under Star Cinema, including a preview of Starship's hit song "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" starring Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo and "Someone's Always Saying Goodbye" starring Dennis Trillo, Maja Salvador, Ellen Adarna, and Richard Yap, as a director of Crazy Beautiful You, starring Dennis Trillo and Kathryn Bernardo. Angel Locsin, Xian Lim, and Vilma Santos appeared in "Everything I Need" for the film "Everything About Her" in 2016, starring Piolo Pascual.

In mid-2015, she was chosen to be one of Chuva Choo Choo – Mr. Kupido Musicale's leading singers. Darla was played by Joanna Ampil and her sister Dina (played by Joanna Ampil) as talented amateur singers attempting to break into the entertainment industry.

Morissette was named as the Best New Female Recording Artist at the 2015 PMPC Star Awards for Music. She was also named as the 2015 Outstanding Female Performing Artist of the Year by the National Consumer Affairs Foundation as the Best Female Performing Artist of the Year.

For 2016, she was named Female Artist of the Year at the 1st Wish 107.5 Music Awards (WMA) as Female Artist of the Year. Winners of the WMA's major award categories were able to choose beneficiaries of financial assistance worth Php 100,000. Home for the Angels, Morissette's pick, was located in Santa Ana, Manila, a crisis center for abandoned children. "I feel blessed because last year I've received awards, but they've recognized me as a new artist," she said of the special event. Morissette appeared at the Music Museum for the first time on August 13, 2016. She performed a combination of old and new songs, including Beyoncé's "Love On Top," which she had performed during her blind audition for The Voice, Barbra Streisand's "Can You Hear Me?" during this sold-out performance. Morissette's first co-written and co-produced single "Love You Still" was released in November 2020 by Underdog Music PH. The song was co-written by her husband (then fiancé) Dave Lamar and co-produced with Lamar and Xergio Ramos in English in honor of Morissette's international fan base and to help promote OPM (Original Pilipino Music) around the world. In early December 2020, a music video for "Love You Still" was released and quickly charted in 12 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, and Morissette became the first female OPM artist to do so.

Morissette's Underdog Music PH released another single "Phoenix" on February 19, 2021. She also co-wrote it with Lamar and co-produced it with Lamar and Ramos, as well as Lamar and Ramos. It debuted on the iTunes Philippines Chart at number three, and it soon became her first co-written original song to debut at number one on the charts. In April 2022, Morissette, Christian Bautista, and Erik Santos, a group from the United States, held a tour together titled "Threeeeology." Morissette performed "Power" at the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant, which was written by Salazar on July 15, 2022.
