During LAFC's festive parade on Sunday afternoon, Gareth Bale received a hero's welcome. As the club commemorated their first MLS Cup, he was called up on stage and introduced to the fans. LAFC defeated Philadelphia on penalties to win their first match in the MLS Cup final. However, it was Bale who stole the show. Following Jack Elliott's second goal of the season, he scored a 129th-minute equalizer to keep LAFC's hopes alive. The Welshman, who started the game on the bench, defeated Union goalkeeper Andre with a strong header late in the game, taking the game to penalties.

After his season-saving header for LAFC on Saturday tied the game at 3-3 and eventually helped the team win on penalties, Gareth Bale believes he has a 'knack' for scoring in the finals. After defender Jack Elliott scored his second goal of the game in the 124th minute, LAFC was a man down to goalie Maxime Chepau's red card. But Bale, who started the game in the 97th minute and has barely played for the club since joining in the summer, gave Elliott a long-awaited response to keep LAFC alive.

Following Elliott's close-range finish after an Andre Blake save, the Union's account showed: "JACK ELLIOTT>>GARETH BALE," an apparent assertion that the London-born defender was more effective than the Wales captain.

Witness on party boat where Texas student was pushed to death by lover reveals tragic last moments

Carly Martin, a former Texas college student, was on board when 19-year-old Jack Elliot was reportedly pushed away by Delaney Brennan while the two were kissing and flirting. Carly was standing between the driver and the passenger seat when she suddenly felt motion under her feet. "Oh, my gosh, what did we miss," she yelled. Moments later, Carly heard Delaney scream, 'I didn't mean to push him!' Carly recalled the tragic event after the teens were dipped in and out of the water in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com. Delaney, who she was flirting with, had pushed Jack, according to her, and it's 'astonish' that they followed the tale for as long as they did. Five Texas college students are now facing felony charges after Jack's death, more than three years after being found to be tampering with evidence and spreading incorrect information about the boat party. Delaney was charged with tampering with evidence by aiding in the deletion of a cellphone video. She could face up to ten years in prison as well as a $10,000 fine.

Delaney Brennan and Jack Elliott, both students at Texas Christian University, posed together before Delaney reportedly pushed him to his death while out on a lake in 2019. Delaney shared the picture less than a month after Jack died. Delaney, 21, later confessed to putting her husband's initials on her wrist to remind her 'how much he loved life.' She has since been charged with tampering with evidence by aiding in the deletion of a cellphone video. She could face up to ten years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Jack's bereaving family discovered there was more to the tale than what the teenagers admitted and demanded to know by launching a wrongful death lawsuit in 2020.

Following an inquiry that revealed they lied, five college students face felony charges in 2019

In October 2019, Jack Elliott, 19, left, a Texas Christian University freshman, fell off a boat while out on a lake near Austin. Jack and 11 other teen friends were out partying and drinking together. The boat started rumbling over something after nightfall, and Jack was missing. The students tried in vain to find him, but his body was discovered ten days later. Many on board reportedly concocted a tale in order to conceal the truth from authorities. Various rumors argued that Jack had gone overboard and was inebriated. It was revealed that he was pushed after being 'gently shoved' by a girl he was flirting with, Delaney Brennan, top right, while sitting at the front of the boat. A Texas grand jury has found that five of the teens on board have criminal charges to answer. Delaney Brennan has since been charged with tampering with evidence by aiding in the removal of a cellphone video. Elle Weber, at the bottom of the list, has been charged with misdemeanor giving inaccurate information to a police officer. Carson Neel, left, was charged with felony tampering on suspicion of allegedly dumping the alcohol overboard.
