Z" stands for "Z." Knight (born Judith Darlene Hampton, 1946) is an American New Age scholar and writer best known for her purported channeling of a supernatural entity called Ramtha. Knight has appeared on television shows such as Larry King, MSNBC, and The Merv Griffin Show, as well as in publications such as Psychology Today.
Linda Evans and Shirley MacLaine, among other well-known celebrities from both entertainment and politics, claim that her teachings have combined ancient wisdom and the power of consciousness with the most recent scientific findings.

Career
Knights were raised in poverty. She dropped out of business school after graduating from high school. She worked in television sales for a long time, and a psychic told her in Tacoma, Washington, where the "Enlightened One" would return to her in the future. Ramtha appears in her kitchen for the first time in 1977, she claims.
Knight appeared on The Merv Griffin Show in 1985 and penned A State of Mind in 1987. Time magazine rated her as "probably the most celebrated of all current television presenters." She is the current president of JZK, Inc., and Ramtha's School of Enlightenment, which is located near the town of Yelm, Washington. Several trademark registrations in the United States feature the word "Ramtha" in the name. She appeared in the 2004 film What the Bleep Do We Know! ?, produced by Ramtha School students.
