Life and career
Iyaz aka Keidran Jones was born in 1987 and joined a musical family. He grew up in Tortola, Virgin Islands. At New England Institute of Technology, Iyaz carried out digital recording. Out Da Box Family's track "Island Girls" had a radio success in the Caribbean, and he appeared on the show "Island Girls." Sean Kingston discovered Iyaz through his Myspace page in 2008 and later committed him to a Time Is Money/Beluga Heights contract. Michael N. N. Rotem, a producer and Beluga Heights chief, introduced him. In 2009, he launched "Replay," which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number 1 in several countries, including the United Kingdom. In February 2010, his second single "Solo" was released and he topped the Hot 100 at number 32. He also contributed to the recording of "We Are the World 25 for Haiti." Replay's debut album was released in 2010, and he was also featured on Jake Zyrus' single "Pyramid." Rotem referred to Iyaz's artistic perfectionionism in a HitQuarters interview: "coordinated is better."
Iyaz appeared on Hannah Montana Forever's fourth season, Hannah Montana Forever, and produced "Gonna Get This," which is featured on Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana Forever soundtrack album.
Iyaz appeared on "If I Ruled the World" in 2011. Iyaz also released "Last Forever" with David Guetta as the producer, as well as its sequel, "At Last." Iyaz appeared on New Boyz' single "Break My Bank" and Akon's "My Girl" and "My Girl."
Later, Iyaz performed "You're My Only Shorty" with Demi Lovato, which is from Lovato's third studio album, Unbroken. "Pretty Girls" was his first album by Travie McCoy, and "My Heart Broke" came later this year. On YouTube, Iyaz posted "Christmas Time," a duet song starring Sha Sha Jones. A number of songs credited to Iyaz surfaced online in 2013, including "Da Da Da", "What Is This Feeling," and "Too Sexy."
Iyaz signed with Rekless Music, the Alternative Distribution Alliance and Warner Music Group's new Los Angeles-based independent record label, despite leaving his previous labels a year ago. "Comin' for Ya" by Chris Brown is a fictional story about him, followed by another one months after Magic! "Rude," by a musician who posted on SoundCloud, is his song "Rude." Iyaz revealed on SoundCloud in December 2014 that he would unleash "One Million" as a single and posted a preview of the song. On December 12, 2014, Iyaz's first single from his second album Aurora, released solely in Japan, on April 8, 2015.
Iyaz's second single, "Alive," starring Nash Overstreet of Hot Chelle Rae, was released on July 24, 2015. J.D. It was created by J.D. Salbego, the President/CEO of Rekless Music, Iyaz's latest record, and Stuart Hart sang "Boy Rekless." The official video of "Alive" premiered on September 23, 2015, MTV exclusive "Alive" premiered on September 23.
