Hristo Naumov Shopov (born 4 January 1964) is a Bulgarian actor.

Naum Shopov, the shopov's father, was a well-known Bulgarian actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Pontius Pilate in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ in 2004.

In the 2006 film The Inquiry, Shopov revived his role as Pilate.

Pilate is one of two actors to play a character directly responsible for authorizing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

He has made his debut in 1981 with Dishay, choveche (Breathe, Little Man!) and he has become one of Bulgaria's most popular actors. (Italian: : At this moment, the film "The Xenogeon" vs.
