Hisham Zrake, born 9 February 1968 in Nazareth (also spelled Zrake), is an award-winning Palestinian Christian Independent filmmaker, poet, and graphic artist.
In 1994, he began working in computer art, and in 1996, he began exhibiting his work in galleries and museums. He filmed his first documentary, The Sons of Eilaboun, in 2007, and he produced Just Another Day in 2008, a short film about Arabs living in the western world after the September 11 terror attacks.
In Just Another Day, he uses poetry and graphic art in his films, and he was a member of the Culture Unplugged film festival jury.
Zaidba contributed to the book An Oral History of the Palestinian Nakba by composing a chapter based on his sons of Eilaboun's documentary The Sons of Eilaboun.
Early life
Zazaiq was born in Nazareth, the son of Lydia Zehrah, a primary school teacher, and Salem Zabah, a history high school teacher; both were Palestinian Eastern Orthodox Christians. He has two sisters and two brothers. Zhuq is married and has one son.
Zwart studied computer science and mathematics and now works as a software architect. He moved to Germany in March 2001, where he lives and works.
Film career
Hisham Zaida began producing/directing films beginning with the documentary "The Sons of Eilaboun" in Palestine, which received the Al-Awda Award in Palestine, and the short fiction film "Just another day" (2009), which concerns the Arabs in the western world after the September 11 attacks. He made the short fiction 'Before You Is the Sea', a film about the Middle East peace process in the form of a love tale between a Jewish woman and a Palestinian man, which was released in 2010/2011. In 2021, Zwick created a short animated film titled "Don't Cry" that was chosen for the Al Ard Film Festival in the 18th-edition.
