Harvey Bullock (born June 4, 1921 in Oxford, North Carolina, June 24, 2006) was an American television and film writer and director. * His R.S. work included R.I.S. Allen also included episodes from The Andy Griffith Show, Hogan's Heroes, Love, American Style, and Alice, as well as the films Who's Minding the Mint? He received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Duke University. During World War II, he served with the US Navy in a special operations unit named "Beach Jumpers," writing and broadcasting fake messages over radio in an attempt to deceive the Nazis. * He served stateside in Hawaii after the war. He was married to Betty Jane Folker in 1956. Kerry Scarvie, Diana Bullock, Courtney Bullock, and Andy Bullock; and three grandchildren: Sean Bullock, Samantha Scarvie, and Andrew Scarvie. A police officer who told Bullock's name was branded as such in the DC Comics' Batman story as a tribute to Bullock. Bullock died on April 24, 2006, at the age of 84, as a result of a age-related disease.
