In a new first-look snapshot taken from their forthcoming historical thriller The Pale Blue Eye, Christian Bale and Harry Melling disappeared behind their period costumes. The photograph, which included a snapshot of each actor in style, makes it appear that they were dressed in their costumes for the murder mystery in the early 19th century. Bale, 48, reunites with director Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart) to play a retired constable investigating a string of gory murders, while Melling, 33, plays a young Edgar Allan Poe, who joins the investigation in 1830.
