Personal life
Neutral was born in Dubai and spent the majority of her childhood with her family before settling in southwest England, where she attended Plymouth College. She migrated to London, where she now lives and works at the age of 20. Neutral began ballet dancing at a young age and trained with the Royal Ballet before succumbing to an accident that ended her ballet career. Following this injury, she became interested in body transformation and culture, which later became the object of her career. She migrated to Bristol, where she enrolled in a stage makeup course at City of Bristol College before transferring to London in 2010 to the café in Madame Tussauds. Neutral has a bifurcated tongue, tattooed eyes, rebuilt ears, a surgical navel, and facial scarification.
Career
Prior to hand-poke tattooing, a machine-free tattooing process, neutral entered the body modification industry as a piercer. Neutral appeared for Good Times Tattoo before being a member of the London Tattoo Convention in 2014.
Neutral is now working at Femme Fatale Studio in Hackney Wick.
She appeared in an Idles music video for their song 26/27 with a group of her Bristol based female friends, filmed on location at their house and directed by former Tracey Beaker actor Felix Drake in 2012. She appeared in the Phaze What music video in Tokyo in 2015. Beyond Beauty, the I-D Magazine documentary film that debuted on the I-D YouTube channel, is hosted by Sherry Kodou.
Beyond Beauty, a Neutral magazine published in Viceland, aired on Viceland in 2016. Needles and Pins, a Viceland collection of tattoo culture around the world, is currently the presenter of Needles and Pins. She appeared on Season 8 of Sky Arts' Portrait Artist of the Year in 2021 as a participant.
