Gers Pardoel Life

Gerwin Pardoel, born 12 May 1981, is a Dutch rapper best known by his stage name Gers Pardoel or mononymously as Gers.

He came to fame in 2009 as a result of his fruitful collaboration with The Opposites on the single "Broodje Bakpao."

Pardoel's debut studio album Deze wereld is van jou was released in November 2011 and was named Platinum by the NVPI.

The Nederhop artist is best known for his number one single "Ik neem je mee," which became the most popular Dutch-language and Dutch-artist hit in the Dutch Top 40 ever.

1981–2002: Early life

Gerwin Pardoel was born in Nijmegen on May 12, 1981, thirty-five minutes before his younger brother Robbie was born. Pardoel's father was a patient at a nursing home when he was young. Later, his father worked for De Efteling in Kaatsheuvel. His mother, who was a housewife, cared for the children.

Pardoel was 17 years old when his mother died from cancer. His life was turned upside down, and his father's friendship with him had deteriorated to a great degree. Pardoel found solace in roller skating to escape his difficult home situation. He was a passionate roller skater and aspired to be the best roller skater in the Netherlands. He trained almost every day in an inline skate hall in's-Hertogenbosch' together with Steffen Haars and Huub Smit (now known as the characters of New Kids). For Pardoel, the hall became a "new home." He came in ninth place in a national roller skating tournament.

Pardoel became involved with hip hop. He met rapper Postman (Remon Stotijn) in Rotterdam, Holland. Anouk, the postman's then-wife, and his then-wife Anouk helped him discover hip hop. They made up Pardoel's stage name, Gers, for the occasion. Despite the fact that Gers is very similar to his own name Gerwin, "gers" also means "cool" or something similar in Rotterdam dialect. Pardoel's stage style was heavily influenced by the postman.

Pardoel developed his rapping skills and established himself as a designer. He started working on songs for a forthcoming album. Pardoel showcased some of his raps at some point (who had taken over New Kids in the meantime). Haars was captivated and put him in contact with rappers Sef and Big2. "Broodje Bakpao" was recorded on the radio. Pardoel's hit single, which was included in the soundtrack of the film New Kids Turbo, debuted in the first position in the Mega Single Top 100, resulted in a massive increase in popularity for the pardoel. Pardoel has been given a recording contract with Dutch company TopNotch thanks to his popularity. The single "Ik ga hard" was Pardoel's nascent success. Gers Pardoel, Adje, Jayh, and Reverse's song this year became a hit among teenagers.

Pardoel's debut studio album Deze wereld is Van jou on October 14, 2011. The album's recordings had already been released after a lot of work (the album's recordings were released in 2009). "Ik neem je mee," the album's second single, received a huge success and climbed to the top-one position in both the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Single Top 100. The album was rated Platinum by the NVPI. Among other items, the album also included "Bagagedrager." De toekomst is a term that is used to describe a three-year-old studio album. It didn't match the success of its predecessor, but it did include the Platinum-certified single "Louise" in the collection.

Pardoel became a mentor in the Flemish version of The Voice Kids in the 4th and 5th seasons due to his musical success in Belgium's Flemish region. Het Laatste Nieuws, Belgium's most popular newspaper, published stories in which Sélina van Gool (Pardoel's former mother, mother of his children, and also his former boss) accused him of domestic violence, both physical and psychological. Van Gool also posted on Instagram, and newspaper papers include snapshots of her private profile. The journal said specifically that they would be able to check police reports issued by van Gool, who had announced her charges. Pardoel did not appear in the 2022 season of The Voice Kids, which was later shortened. Both VTM and Het Laatste Nieuws, which are on televisions, is noteworthy, because Mediahuis is a part of a communications company. However, Pardoel was welcomed as the host of the Flemish version of Come Dance With Me on Play4, a channel of SBS Belgium in 2022.

Gers Pardoel Career

2002–2010: Career beginnings

Pardoel became a fan of hip hop. He met rapper Postman (Remon Stotijn) in Rotterdam. Anouk, a postman, and his then-wife Anouk helped him discover the world of hip hop. They used to be able to make up Pardoel's stage name Gers. Despite the fact that Gers is closely related to his own name Gerwin, "gers" also means "cool" or something similar in Rotterdam dialect. Pardoel's performance stile was influenced by a postman.

Pardoel developed his rapping skills and began to develop himself as a producer. He began working on songs for a forthcoming album. Pardoel's old pal Steffen Haars (who had been in charge of New Kids in the interim) performed some of his raps at some point. Haars was enthralled and put him in touch with rappers Sef and Big2. That resulted in the recording of the song "Broodje Bakpao." Pardoel's hit single, which appeared on the soundtrack of the film New Kids Turbo and debuted in the top 100 in the Mega Single Top 100, earned the pardonation of the pardoel. Pardoel was granted a recording contract with Dutch label TopNotch as a result of his popularity. The single "Ik ga hard" was Pardoel's next success. Gers Pardoel, Adje, Jayh, and Reverse's This song, released by The Partysquad, became a hit among teenagers.

Pardoel's debut studio album Deze wereld is van jou on October 14, 2011. The album was finally released after a lot of work (the album's recordings were released already in 2009). "Ik neem je mee," the album's second single, was a huge success and took home the top spot in both the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Single Top 100. The album was named Platinum by the NVPI. Among others, the album also contained the single "Bagagedrager." De toekomst is van ons, a three-year-old studio album that has been out on sale. It didn't meet the popularity of its predecessor, but it did include the Platinum-certified single "Louise."

Pardoel was a mentor in the Flemish version of The Voice Kids in the shows 4th and 5th seasons, thanks to his musical success in the Flemish region of Belgium. The Belgian weekly Het Laatste Nieuws published stories in which Sélina van Gool (Pardoel's former mother, mother of his children, and also his former boss) accused him of domestic violence, both physical and psychological. Van Gool has also posted on Instagram, and newspaper articles feature snapshots of her private profile. The journal also stated that they were able to check police reports issued by van Gool, which confirmed her charges. Pardoel did not return in the 2022 season of The Voice Kids, and it was a shame. Both VTM and Het Laatste Nieuws, which are on television, are examples of Mediahuis. Pardoel was also recognized as the host of the Flemish version of Come Dance With Me on Play4, a channel of SBS Belgium in 2022.
