The beloved films are reminiscent of a Cinderella tale, with the central characters, played by Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway, undergoing fairytale-style transformations along the way - with real-world challenges along the way. However, the parallels don't stop there. Even giving him the same line, American filmmaker Garry Marshall, who produced the films, chose the same actor in Pretty Woman and Princess Diaries to play a waiter. When the two people make a social faux pas, the friendly staff member, played by Marvin Braverman, helps Vivian Ward and Princess Mia in the films.

Dale McRaven, an Emmy-nominated producer who created Perfect Strangers and Mork & Mindy, died on September 5 at the age of 83. According to THR, Dale, who was born on an Illinois farm, died of lung disease at his Porter Ranch home in Los Angeles.
