Freya Van den Bossche Life

Freya Van den Bossche (born March 1975) is a Belgian (Flemish) politician and the niece of influential Belgian politician Luc Van den Bossche.

She is a member of the SP.A political party, and she served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Budget and Consumer Protection in the Belgian federal government.

She was Belgium's youngest minister.

Education and move into politics

Freya Van den Bossche continued her secondary education at the Royal Atheneum Voskenslaan in Ghent. She studied law at the University of Ghent from 1993 to 1995, but did not have a degree, and then graduated from the University of Ghent with a master's degree in Communication Sciences in 1999. She attended the University of Amsterdam from 1996 to 1997 as part of an exchange program.

Knack, a well-known Flemish journal in Belgium, argued that she had not written the obligatory thesis for her master's degree herself in 2006. Rather, the thesis's complexity was reflected in the essay's authorship by Koen Meulenaere, a former Knack journalist and a friend of Freya Van den Bossche's father, Luc Van den Bossche, the influential socialist politician, despite the fact that she submitted it. Knack released a reversal of her thesis on the internet, but gave no other proof. Freya Van den Bossche also filed a criminal lawsuit against Koen Meulenaere for slander and defamation. Ms. Van den Bossche responded to a question raised by Het Laatste Nieuws about whether she did in fact write her thesis: "Would that make a difference?" Since I have nothing to conceal, I will be able to give you my notes. The thesis was eventually removed from Knack's website, and the paper was no longer covered.

She spent her time as an Attachée, responsible for reporting and opioid-related issues, as well as a Mayer of Ghent Frank Beke from 1999 to 2000.

Freya's first national interest in Belgium was born in a televised debating competition between candidates running in a municipal election between candidates that were the children of well-known politicians. She did well in the debate and was considered by many to be both attractive and articulate. In addition, she gave her a black slip postcard during the campaign, which included her long legs. Freya polled well and was elected in the municipal election in 2000 partly as a result of these profile building exercises.

Personal life

Ariane (born 1999) and Billie (born on June 30, 2005), as well as one son, Moses (born on 29 November 2009). Van den Bossche married Dennis Van de Weghe of Ghent, one of her former cabinet colleagues, on December 29, 2006. The marriage did not last long, with the couple splitting shortly afterwards.
