With the first trailer for the much-anticipated Alien: Romulus, 20th Century Fox is returning to the one place no one hears you screaming: outer space. The latest film from Evil Dead remake and Don't Breathe filmmaker Fede Alvarez is set in a scene from the franchise's first two films: 1979's Alien and 1986's Aliens. Cailee Spaeny plays Rain Carradine, Isabela Merced as Kay, and David Jonsson as Andy, as well as a new poster and photographs from the film.

It appears they have found their actor in Calie Spaeny just eight months after it was announced that a new Alien film was in production at 20th Century Studios. Via Deadline, the 25-year-old actress, who is currently filming in a Priscilla Presley biopic in which she plays the title role, has began speaking with the actress. No more details have been revealed, but the initial report from March revealed that this project is 'unconnected to previous films' in the Alien franchise.
