Evelin Samuel (born 13 May 1975) is an Estonian singer.
Personal life
Johan Randvere, a native of Scotland, married Samuel Randvere in 2016. Marta, the couple's one daughter, was born in 2019, and she has two sons, Oskar and Torsten, both from a previous relationship with a journalist Raimo Ülavere. Evelin Samuel-Randvere has been credited to her since 2019.
Career
Evelin Samuel has been singing since childhood and was even recorded in the Estonian Radio studios at a young age. Evelin appeared at the 1992 Roskilde Festival in Denmark in the late 1980s.
She finished fourth at Kaks takti ette, a competition for debutant singers promoted by Estonian Television, in 1993. She won the Baltic song competition Via Baltica in 2014, and a year later, she took home "Vari ja roos" at Uus Laul, a Estonian Television competition.
Evelin Samuel appeared in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997 and 1999, but it wasn't until 2002 that her debut album Alternation: Over The Water Blue was released. She was also a DJ at the famous Raadio Uuno in the late 1990s.
Evelin has also been performing dance on ferries along the Baltic Sea for many years.
Samuel ran for general parliamentary elections for the political party Isamaa in 2015, but was not elected.
