Eva Murati (born 25 May 1995) is an Albanian actress and television presenter.

She began her modeling and television careers at the age of 15.

Eva hosted her first TV show The Regression in 2013 and then co-hosted with Adi Krasta Duartrokitje, both of whom appeared on Agon Channel.

In 2016, she moved to Vizion Plus, where she hosted Miss Universe Albania and VIP Zone.

Tring Digital is currently hosting the Studio UEFA Champions League and Sports Week.

In 2013, Murati first appeared in film as part of The Outlaw.

Early life

Murati was born in 1995 as the granddaughter of Doctor Arben Murati and engineer Anila Stratobrdha Murati. She was born in Elbasan, but her family immigrated to Tirana, Albania's capital, when she was 6 years old. She has two younger siblings, a brother, and a sister. She is the granddaughter of Pandi Stratobrdha, a civil engineer who founded University of Tirana in 1957 and a member of the Academy of Sciences of Albania since its establishment in 1972.

She attended Imelda Lambertini, the Italian school where she learned to speak Italian and was introduced to Italian culture, which had a major influence in her life. She attended Udha e Shkronjave academy after her family migrated to Tirana. She began sixth grade at The Independent College of Tirana, where she completed middle school. Murati completed her high school studies at Petro Nini Luarasi high school, where she gained her first audition and began her first steps into show business. At the Faculty of Law at the public University of Tirana, she pursued her academic career and majored in law.

She was active in Tirana Teens and later became a member of the school drama club. She was selected for the debate team in several high school competitions, in addition to her academic pursuits. During her high school years, she competed in various Olympiads, including 8th in National Rankings.

Personal life

Eva is known as an animal rights advocate and activist. Although she was presenting Miss Universe Albania, she became a sponsor of Albanian Red Cross and she is a regular attender since then. She frequently expressed Liberal views, but Murati has never articulated her political convictions.

Murati has been regarded as a feminist from the start of her career with the One Billion Rising movement, and she has always been a fan of gender equality. She has often stated that more could be done to support female liberation, particularly Albania, and has used her name to inspire young women to be more independent. Eva is fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, as well as French.

Eva is also a footballer and supports the Italian team Juventus. Erjon, her father, was also a footballer.

She attended her first audition for Tirana East Gate, which she won, after high school. Murati starred in the film Bring a Friend for Eagle Mobile, alongside comedian Gentian Zenelaj. During the UEFA European Championship 2012, the spot aired.

In February 2012 and November 2012 respectively, Murati was the image of B52 Energy Drink in two commercials, Anything for You and Drink On.

TRANZIT, La Gace's music video, was awarded the best video in the annual competition Net e Klipit Shqiptar in May 2012.

Murati was selected to represent Albania in the Vodafone Italia commercial launched in 2015 by to promote calls from Italy to Albania. Since seeing Murati's interview with Italian actress Manuela Arcuri, which she had done in Agon Channel before, the company selected her. The initiative lasted a year and was widely distributed throughout Italy.

She became the image of Albtelecom in the role of Era in the sitcom-like commercials. She appeared in Intro Age, Lea, Dhuratatatjes, Anoying Chef, Intro Jona, ALBwifi, Déjà vu, Love, You are Deserving More and Super-Family from April 2016 to May 2017. Murati was selected by the company as a spokesperson after appearing in the first Albtelecom commercial. In various occasions, such as UEFA Euro 2016, she represented the company.

Eva Murati made her debut as an actress in May 2013's short film The Outlaw. The film premiered in Tirana in October 2013 and was part of the Durres Film Festival.

Murati made her television debut on Kokrrat in December 2015. Eva was introduced as a pharmacist and the lead character's love interest in the fifth episode of the series. The show was produced by digitalb and was also broadcast on THD and IN TV.

She appeared on TV show Skanderbeg in the role of Mara, Albania's national hero, alongside Laert Vasili, Ermal Mamaqi, Vedat Bajrami, and Zyliha Miloti.
