Eva Lind (born 14 June 1966) is an Austrian operatic soprano.
Life and career
Lind was born in Innsbruck. She began her vocal training at the Tyrol State Conservatory in her hometown city and was first named Austrian competition Jugend Musiziert in 1983. In Wagner's Parsifal at the Tyrolean State Theatre in the same year, she debuted as Flowermaiden. She continued her study in philosophy, journalism, and drama at the University of Vienna, where she continued her professional training as a singer. Marta Lantieri, Ruthilde Boesch, and Wilma Lipp were her teachers.
Lind appeared in Mozart's The Magic Flute at the Vienna State Opera in 1985, where she appeared as an ensemble member in subsequent years, including Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Sophie in Die Fledermaus, and Sophie in Massenet's Werther.
In the 1985/86 season at the Theater Basel, she made her international debut when she appeared in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor. In 1986, she appeared at the Salzburg Festival as an Italian singer in Capriccio. In Monte-Carlo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Stuttgart (Die Fledermaus), Zürich, Munich (The Magic Flute), she made her house debuts (Lucia di Lammermoor).
