Early life
Derbez was born and raised in Mexico City and expressed an interest in acting at an early age, landing his first appearances in soap operas at age 12. No Tengo Madre, a Mexican soap opera, made his directorial debut in 1997.
Personal life
Derbez, the son of actress Silvia Derbez and publicist Eugenio González Salas, was born in Mexico City. Eugenio and his family live in Los Angeles. Derbez is married to actress Alessandra Rosaldo, model, and former Sentidos Opuestos actress Alessandra Rosaldo. He is the father of Mexican comedian Aislinn Derbez (her mother is Gabriela Michel), Mexican actor and singer Vadhir Derbez (his mother is Silvana Prince), and Aitana Derbez (her mother is Alessandra Rosaldo). He is a vegetarian. Fiona, the bulldog, has a name.
Career
Derbez appeared on Cachn cachn ra ra ra!, a Mexican television program in the early 1980s. He has appeared in En Familia con Chabelo, a children's television program.
When he appeared in a comedy show named Anabel in 1988, he gained his first recurring television role. During the 1990s, Derbez continued making films. In 1992, he began to host Al Derecho y al Derbez, the variety show.
Derbez made his acting debut in a soap opera named No Tengo Madre in 1997. Derbez en Cuando, a comedy troupe, began in 1999. Derbez debuted in Carita de ángel in 2000. He appeared in Cómplices al Rescate ('Accomplices to the Rescue) earlier this year. XHDRBZ, a television series created in 2003, was released in XHDRBZ.
