Estelle Lefébure ([st l'feby,]; born 11 May 1966) is a French actress and model. She was one of the top fashion models in the 1980s and 1990s. Estelle Lefebure, a French woman who appeared in the early 1980s, was discovered by George Gallier and directed by him exclusively at Prestige Models in Paris, France. George Gallier began his career in 1991 and moved to New York City to start American Model Management. Her national recognition came right after Wayne Maser's first Guess (clothing) campaign shot in the early 1980s; she later shot many covers of American Elle with Marc Hispard, Gilles Ben Simon, and Bill King. Odile Saron, a French magazine model editor, was also instrumental in Estelle's rise. She moved from American Model Management to Elite in 1991, and married singer David Hallyday in California. At the age of 19, she began modeling. She has appeared in advertisements for Guess?, Cartier, Christian Dior, Revlon, Lord & Taylor, and Samsung over the years. She first appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue in 1988. She appeared in 1989, 1990, and 1993. She appeared in the 1992 film "Too Funky," a song written and performed by English singer George Michael and released by Columbia Records in the United States and Epic Records elsewhere. She was voted one of the "50 Most Beautiful People" by People in 1994. In 1999, she was one of the candidates to become the French national symbol Marianne, but she lost to Laetitia Casta.
