Cindy Crawford Life

Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20, 1966) is an American model and actress.

Her years of modeling have made her a household name in television and film, as well as acting as a spokesperson.

Early life

Crawford was born in DeKalb, Illinois, on February 20, 1966, the daughter of Dan Crawford and Jennifer Sue Crawford-Moluf (née Walker). Chris and Danielle have two siblings, as well as a brother named Jeffery, who died of childhood leukemia at the age of 3. She has stated on social media that her family has been in the United States for decades and that her ancestry was mostly German, English, and French. Who Do You Think You Are is a show on YouTube. She learned that her ancestors were of European nobility and that she was descendant from Charlemagne in 2013.

She received a call from a local clothing store regarding modeling work in her sophomore year at high school, only to learn that it was a prank by two of her classmates. However, Crawford, Crawford, and others were recruited by a different store the following year to work for them (including a fashion shoot). Roger Legel, a local photographer who was on staff with a different college student for the week's coed in DeKalb Nite Weekly, asked to photograph her for the issue; the result was Crawford's first cover. The model's positive feedback and pictures were enough to convince her to start modeling. She began working with a small business that was sold to Elite Model Management shortly after she signed. She entered Elite's Look of the Year competition at the age of 17 in 1983 and advanced to the national finals.

Crawford was a valedictorian when he graduated from DeKalb High School in 1984. She earned an academic scholarship to study chemical engineering at Northwestern University, but she only lasted for a year before deciding to pursue a full-time modeling career. She began working with photographer Victor Skrebneski in Chicago and then moved to New York City in 1986 and joined the Elite New York modeling company.

Personal life

Crawford was married to actor Richard Gere from 1991 to their divorce in 1995. Rande Gerber, a businessman and former model, was married on May 29, 1998. They have two children, Presley Walker Gerber (born July 2, 1999) and Kaia Jordan Gerber (born September 3, 2001), the former of whom has had a fruitful modeling career.

The couple sold their home in Trousdale Estates, Beverly Hills, for $13.5 million in August 2021.

Crawford is 5 foot 9 inches (175 cm) tall with brown hair and eyes. Her measurements are 34-28-36." Her trademark is a mole (or "beauty symbol) above her upper lip. She is so closely connected with this physical appearance that she appeared in an Australian advertising campaign for flavoured milk that included a TV commercial in which she "licked off" her own mole. "Baby Gia" was the result of her resemblance to model Gia Carangi.
