Eric Martsolf (born July 27, 1971) is an American television actor and singer best known for his role as Ethan Winthrop in the NBC soap opera Passions from 2002 to 2008.
Since November 2008, he has appeared on NBC's Days of Our Lives as Brady Black, for which he received a Daytime Emmy in 2014. He appeared in Season 10, Episode 18 of Smallville in 2011, playing the role of 'Booster Gold'.
Personal life
Martsolf and his partner Lisa Kouchak attended a wedding on October 10, 2003, and married in the same year. Mason Alan and Chase Evan, their twin sons, were born on April 7, 2006.
Career
On NBC's daytime soap opera Passions, Martsolf portrayed Ethan Winthrop from July 2002 (succeeding original portrayer Travis Schuldt) until the series' cancellation in August 2008. Before the show began, Martsolf had auditioned for the role of Ethan. He appeared on the program for one episode as a cop before being cast as Ethan. In Soap Opera Digest, he was voted the best actor on Passions for more than a week.
On November 13, 2008, Martsolf made his first appearance on Days of Our Lives as Brady Black on Days of Our Lives. The character had not been seen before by Kyle Lowder until 2005. Brady Black's portrayal in a Drama Series garnered a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2014. In 2019, he was nominated for the same award again.
Martsolf appeared on three occasions as Marcus Dunne on the teen drama web series Miss Behave, which also included former Days of Our Lives actors Jillian Clare, Darin Brooks, and Patrika Darbo.
