Eos Counsell (born 27 January 1976), also known as Eos or Eos Chater, is the second violinist of the all-female classical crossover string quartet Bond. Counsell obtained a Bachelor's degree from the Royal College of Music in London and hails from Cardiff, Wales. Before Bond, she worked on string orchestras and appeared with many pop groups, including The Divine Comedy, Cocteau Twins, Julian Cope, Gabrielle, and Mark Knopfler. Benedict Cumberbatch appeared on BBC Sherlock and filmed the sound. On January 8, 2018, Eos Counsell and the other members of the Bond quartet were granted the Freedom of the City of London.
