Enock Mwepu, a midfielder for Brighton and Hove Albion, has been given 'precautionary tests' in hospital, following news that the Zambian demises with a suspected heart attack. Mwepu was hired as the Seagulls' Under-19s academy coach in December, two months after he was forced to retire from professional football aged 24 due to a heart disease. Following a death, the club released a statement on Sunday 'in reaction to media reports,' claiming that Mwepu had been rushed to hospital following a death.

Brighton has announced that Enock Mwepu, their former midfielder, will be their Under-9's academy coach in the New Year. After being diagnosed with a hereditary heart disease, the Zambian was forced to retire in October at the age of 24.
