She is best known for her appearances in El rostro de Antala and El fantasma de Elena, among other telenovelas.
Career
Gutiérrez was a young model on The Price Is Right from the start. She appeared on the second season of the reality show Protagonistas de Novela.
Gutiérrez started her career in television comedy in 2005, portraying the villain Isabela in Venevision International's Olvidarte jamás. Due to her first pregnancy, she continued the series 12 episodes before its conclusion. She debuted in Acorralada in Acorralada but was forced to take the lead role in Amor comprado next year. She was the principal actress in Isla.so, a mininovela of 15 two-minute episodes produced by Venevisión and released online in 2007.
In 2008, she played another female lead role, this time in El Rostro de Anala, a Telemundo telenovela. The telenovela was broadcast in more than 50 countries; being on one of Telemundo's most popular telenovelas, Gutiérrez gained international attention. In the fifth remake of Corazón salvaje, she played a villain in 2009. Gutiérrez's success was greeted favorably by critics.
In El fantasma de Elena, she took the lead. This telenovela was not as popular in the United States as it had expected, but it was more popular elsewhere. It has been sold in 70 countries. She filmed the pilot episode for La Buena y La Tonta, but decided against El fantasma de Elena instead.
