With a walk-off victory, a MLB umpire is given a win over the Chicago White Sox

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 4, 2023
Tim Anderson of Chicago was at bat when Tigers relieve pitcher Jose Cisnero threw a first-pitch fastball that struck Cory Blaser right in the face mask in the 10th innings of the White Sox's 2-1 victory. As the game came, Anderson aided the Blaser up. Dylan Cease, a White Sox pitcher, said, 'I' never seen that.' Just pray he's fine.' 'Took 96 (mph) straight to the facemask.' The umpiring crew refused to comment on the incident. Blaser Blaser, according to Major League Baseball, is undergoing evaluation.

MLB ROUNDUP:  Tampa Bay Rays beat White Sox 4-3 to set MLB record for home runs in first 21 games

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 23, 2023
Tampa Bay is 18-3, the best start in MLB since the 2003 Yankees. The Rays are 12-0 at Tropicana Field, their best start at home since the 2009 Los Angeles Dodgers won their first 13 games. Arozarena's first run in first off Dylan Cease was a two-run homer, and the Rays set a new high in first 20 games by the 2019 Seattle Mariners, beating the previous record of home runs. Fernando Tatis Jr. said he returned to his first homer since being in MLB in 2021.

While the pitch clock strikes, Ohtani's enthusiasm is unmatched, as he puts on his best appearance

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 31, 2023
Ohtani, the 2021 AL MVP, took down ten strikeouts in six innings without giving up any runs, though he did allow three walks. At bat, the 28-year-old Japanese had two hits. Ohtani, who single-handedly defeated Team USA in the WBC finals last week, is calling his own pitches this season thanks to a PitchCom unit under his jacket.
