Donald Winston Thompson, OC (born 18 January 1940), is a Canadian jazz musician who plays double bass, piano, and vibes.

Thompson was a member of the Toronto Quartet of Paul Desmond in the mid seventies, and the result was two albums.

Thompson has been a fixture on the Toronto jazz scene since the late 1960s when he came from British Columbia.

He served with Rob McConnell's Boss Brass for a long time.
