Early life and Starter
Fayed was born in Alexandria and was the eldest son of Egyptian billionaire Mohamed Al Fayed, former owner of Harrods department store Harrods. He was the half-brother of Omar, Camilla, Karim, and Jasmine Fayed. Dodi's father was also the former owner of Fulham Football Club and the Hôtel Ritz Paris. Samira Khashoggi, the Saudi Arabian author and the niece of Saudi billionaire arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, was among Dodi's children.
Fayed, a student at Collège Saint Marc, was attending the Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland. He also attended Sandhurst for a short time. After finishing his education, he served as an attaché at the United Arab Emirates Embassy in London.
