It comes as Sir Keir begins to project a statesmanlike image, despite it being only a year away from the crucial general election. Yesterday, he flew to The Hague to outline a scheme for tackling the Channel Boat Crisis, and next week he will speak with Emmanuel Macron in Paris. At the summit in Montreal, Tony Blair, who appears to be increasingly influential in Sir Keir's circle, and former foreign secretary David Miliband are among the speakers, as well as former Finland Prime Minister Sanna Marin and New Zealand's Jacinda Ardern.
