According to Deadline, Ang, whose films include Brokeback Mountain and Life Of Pi, has cast his own son Mason in the lead role. Dan Futterman, who rose to fame as an actor in The Birdcage before directing such films as Capote and Foxcatcher, will be the next to give the script.
