Dan Crowley Life

Dan Crowley (born 28 August 1965, Brisbane) is a retired Australian rugby union player who played for the Wallabies 38 times and gained over 100 caps for the Queensland Reds during his rugby career. He was one of only twenty-two national Rugby Union World Cup winners. Crowley's family migrated from the United Kingdom to Central Queensland before heading to Brisbane. Crowley made his first appearance for the Wallabies on July 1st in 1989, when Australia defeated the British Lions by 30 points to 12. He also participated in two subsequent tests, which the Lions also won. * His next appearance for the Wallabies came at the 1991 Rugby World Cup, which Australia went on to win. * In 1999, he gained two international caps in tests against Ireland and Wales. * He also played in Calgary against Canada in 1995 and was capped twice for Australia's two games against Argentina before heading to South Africa for the 1995 Rugby World Cup. * He was involved in the defeats against the Springboks and England. He was capped on seven occasions for Australia in 1997, and then ten times during 1998. He was then selected in Australia's 1999 Rugby World Cup squad for Wales. * Crowley finished his international career as a double world champion in the final against France, which Australia defeated 35 to 12. * He is now one of the Reds' most capped players with 124. * He was also listed on the bench of the Wallaby Team of the Decade, and Crowley spent time as an undercover police officer with the Queensland Police Force, specializing in busting opioid rings on Queensland's Gold Coast. * He writes about his experience in his book Undercover Propere and works as a motivational speaker. * On some occasions, he was even working undercover during rugby tours in New Zealand.
