Clemente Russo (born 27 July 1982) is an Italian amateur boxer best known for winning gold at the 2007 and 2013 World Amateur Boxing Championships at heavyweight (201 lbs maximum).
In the World Series of Boxing, he currently boxes for the Italia Thunder team.
He also signed up for the APB, the new AIBA professional league, which first appeared in fall 2013.

Career
Russo qualified for the 2004 Summer Olympics by finishing in second place at the 1st AIBA European 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. At the Games Russo, a policeman and who hails from Campania, fights a light heavyweight. He stormed Andre Ward of the United States right into the eventual winner and was disqualified early.
He jumped to the 201 pounds category and crashed early at the World championships 2005 and the European championships 2006.
He lost the European Championships final to Elias Pavlidis in 2007 a teen in a wheelchair. At the World Championships, he defeated Englishman Daniel Price, 2005 champion Alexander Povernov (PTS 17–5), and advanced to Beijing. He defeated Chinese Yushan Nijiati to advance to the finals, where he defeated Russian Top Favor Rakhim Chakkhiev 7-6.
He won the silver medal in the 2008 Olympics, but he lost the final round and the competition to Rakhim Chakkhiev.
He boxes for the Italia Thunder team are included in the World Series of Boxing. He received the "Winner WSB Individual World Champion 2011" and "Winner WSB Team World Champion 2012" awards.
Russo made his debut in the drama film Tatanka in 2011 outside of his athletic career.
Russo captured the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, losing the final to Oleksandr Usyk.
