Christian Wood of the Los Angeles Lakers has been given a provisional restraining order against his ex-girlfriend after he said she caused him emotional and mental distress and caused damage to his property. According to TMZ, the 28-year-old forward took his ex-girlfriend, Yasmine Lopez, to court after she broke into his house and roughed up one of his cars. Lopez and her comrades reportedly scaled a fence at his California home on February 23 and then proceeded to scratch down the Mercedes-Benz's hood and doors.

How the French sensation blends with NBA lottery teams is a mystery

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 14, 2023
Victor Wembanyama, France's top export, is poised to replace wine as France's top export, a 7-foot-4 basketball sensation. He's athletic, skilled, vast, and yet only 19, so the winning team will undoubtedly be considered very lucky as the league selects its first pick on Tuesday night in New York. It's either way or not Wembanyama will feel the same way. The 14 teams in Tuesday's lottery aren't all positive, and that's by design. The lottery is supposed to enhance the league's bottom feeders by (slightly) deterring them from tanking their seasons in an attempt to land a top talent in the draft, such as Wembanyama. Mail Online's preview of Wembanyama's 14 future teams, how he'd fit, and what these clubs need to do to attract the NBA's most coveted prospect in a generation.

In the loss to the Chicago Bulls, the NBA has opened an investigation into the Dallas Mavericks' resting players

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 9, 2023
According to various outlets, the Dallas Mavericks are probing their decision to suspend multiple players against the Chicago Bulls last Friday. Dallas did not play Kyrie Irving (right foot injury), Josh Green (rest), Tim Hartaway Jr. (left ankle soreness), Maxi Kleber (right hamstring injury recovery) and Christian Wood (rest), while Luka Doncic appeared in only the first quarter of the game. The Mavericks will win the game 115-112, effectively ending them from playoff contention. Their 2023 first-round pick is now the 10th overall pick, and losing to Chicago paired with a potential loss to the San Antonio Spurs could push the pick to the top 10 for the 10th time.
