Before Fame
He took classes at the Gaiety School of Acting and the Cork School of Music. He appeared in the Youth Theatre of the latter. He was turned down in his audition for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, but he obtained his BA in Drama and Theatre studies at Cork School of Music instead.
