Charlene Greene (born Charlene Egbe on March 23, 1988) is a Nigerian-American businesswoman and former reporter/anchor for KTVA television in Anchorage, Alaska.

Greene resigned from television in September 2014 after reporting a story on the Alaska Cannabis Club, a medical cannabis firm, acquainting that she was the owner of the operation, prompting her to take responsibility.

Greene graduated from high school in Anchorage, Alaska, and received a bachelor's degree in broadcast news from the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas.

Career and on-air resignation

Before starting as an intern and production assistant at KXAS and KDAF in Dallas, Greene became an anchor/reporter for WOAY and WOWK, WRWR in Georgia, WJHL in Tennessee, and KTVA in Alaska.

Greene resigned from working on KTVA on-air in September 2014 after covering a story about the Alaska Cannabis Club, a medical marijuana charity. Greene explained that she was the owner of the club and used profanity ("Fuck it, I quit") after describing that she resigned in order to advocate for marijuana reform in Alaska in the news spot. Greene's conflict of interest was broadcast on several internet platforms, garnering several million views on each of their social media platforms, and has sparked fear of her own business.

At its 40th anniversary party in New York on October 16, 2014, High Times named Greene its Courage in Media Award. Greene was listed as one of the "13 Most Potent Women in the Pot Industry" by Elle last month.

Greene launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for marijuana reform after she was fired from KTVA. She has also worked with the Minority Cannabis Industry Association.

Greene moved to Los Angeles in December 2016, where she hosts The Weed Show. Greene's Youtube channel dedicated to skin care, as of 2021.
