Cecilia Oreo-Drilon (born July 8, 1961), also known as Ces Drilon, is a Filipino broadcast journalist.

She oversaw ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation's News and Public Affairs division, which she joined in 1989.

Personal life

Ces Ore's Drilon is married to painter Rock Drilon, nephew of Senator Franklin Drilon. They have four children. She graduated from the University of Diliman with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication research.

Career

Ces Ore-Drilon began her television career in 1985 as a news reporter for the Maharlika Broadcasting Corporation (now People's Television Network). ABS-CBN Network, which hired her in 1989 to cover the Philippine Senate, caught her story on the capture of Army renegade Col. Gregorio Honasan. She appeared on The World Tonight as the program's business correspondent.

She coproduced Usapang Business, a weekly business-oriented television show that was soon cancelled due to budget cuts. She later delivered several news and current affairs services for ABS-CBN and the ABS-CBN News Channel, as well as Pipol and The Correspondents. Ore'a-Drilon has been a co-anchor of ABS-CBN late-night news show Bandila and as an alternate anchor for TV Patrol since the 2000s.

Ces Orema-Drilon was one of many Filipino journalists covering the Manila Peninsula revolt who were briefly arrested by the Philippine military shortly after the mutiny was defeated.

She and her companions were abducted by the Abu Sayyaf in Sulu in June 2008, but they were later released.

Ore-Drilon was revived by ABS-CBN in July 2020 after the network was cut down by both the National Telecommunications Commission and the Solicitor General's office last May due to an expired brand and Congress had rejected its new 25-year franchise. She returned to farming after her return to farming.

Ore-Drilon's 2021 return to Radio Mindanao Network-DZXL, where she is the host of afternoon public service program Basta Promdi, Lodi.
