Castro Career

Early life and career

In 1982, he was born in Takoradi, Ghana's Western Region, to Lydia Tagoe (a trader) and a Mr. Cofie (an accountant). He received his primary and junior high education at the All Saints Anglican Primary School in Takoradi. He began singing as early as age ten and stepped into the musical world with his 2003 hit song "Sradenam." He appeared on "Sikletele," a hip-life band that officially introduced him to the local music scene before he released his debut album in 2003. "Sradinam" became one of many Ghanaians' most popular hits.

Castro's aspiration was to retire and become a producer. His aim was to help bring to the limelight a talented young artist. He hopes that this will help the young talented artist and prepare them for the industry by becoming a producer.

Asamoah Gyan, the captain of Ghana's national football team, was a friend of Castro. Together, the two bands released three albums. "African Girls" was another hit of theirs.
