Clinton O. Connor (2000) : A.C. On the short-lived TV series Tucker, "Casey" Sander (born July 6, 1956) is an American actor best known as the character "Captain" Jimmy Wennick.

Criminal Minds, Grace Under Fire, Home Improvement, Malcolm in the Middle, Rules of Engagement, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, Silicon Valley, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (on which he played the father of Xander Harris) are among his television appearances.

Bernadette's father, Mike, appears on the television sitcom The Big Bang Theory as Bernadette's father.

Early and personal life

Sander was born in Washington, D.C., and his father was an Air Force lieutenant colonel. He played shortstop on the school's baseball team while at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, Washington, as a sophomore.

He was a 10th round draft pick for the California Angels in his senior year, and was admitted after graduating from high school in 1973. Despite withdrawing football scholarships from Washington and Washington State University, he had an uneven season with the Angels and was eventually released. Sander and Richard Karn attended junior high school and then attended Roosevelt High School in Seattle, where they competed against each other on the football team.

Since being cut from the Angels and playing one season with the Seattle Rainiers, he accepted a football scholarship from University of Puget Sound. In the hopes of improving his results, he considered becoming a sports broadcaster and took up an acting class. Waiting for Godot was one of his college productions, including Waiting for Godot. He taught at Curtis Senior High School in University Place, Washington, for a short time after receiving a teaching degree. After quitting, he went to Los Angeles and worked as a shipyard hand, log-cabin designer, bartender, and car dealer to get by before finding an acting agent.

He began his career in print media, as the "Winston guy" for Winston Cigarettes. Sander has two children, Max, and Mimi, a daughter.

Sander appeared on the Sunset Strip marathon fundraiser episode of The George Lucas Talk Show in 2020.
