Caroline Sampson (born 2 August 1984) is a Ghanaian radio presenter, television show host, a compere, and a voice over artist best known for her television and radio commercials.
She began her career in television in 2005, when she finished as a finalist in the third edition of the Ghanai reality TV pageant Miss Malaika Ghana. Caroline has hosted reality television shows, corporate parties, and other movie premieres and album launches in addition to television and radio.
She was the first anglophone African and Ghanaian to win the Best Presenter award at the Stars Integration of Culture of Africa (SICA) festival and competition in Benin.
Early life
Caroline Sampson was born in Tema on August 2, 1984 and grew up in Tema Community 7. Madam Mary Araba Quarshie and her father, Mr Jacob Maxwell Apraku Sampson, are her only children. Caroline was educated at the Creator Preparatory School in Tema, where she gained her primary school and junior high school experience. She then went on to study General Arts at Mfantsiman Girls' Secondary School.
While there, Caroline loved to dance and was involved in a lot of activities, including performing and hosting shows both on and off campus. For the academic year 2002, she was an executive with Writers, Drama, and Debaters Club (WDDC) and GUNSA. She obtained her tertiary education at the African University College of Communications (AUCC).
Career
Sampson began as a contestant in the third edition of the television reality show Miss Malaika Ghana. She was one of the final 16 contestants.
Sampson got her first television appearance in 2005 when she hosted U-Win Game, which aired on GTV (Ghana National Broadcaster). Later, she hosted Hitz Video, a weekly music video show that aired on the TV3 Ghana network.
Sampson appeared on E on E, a daily entertainment show on ETV Ghana, in 2009 and became the parent company of ETV and YFM Ghana.
Head Start and later became the host of a sports show on the same channel in 2017, and Sport Arena joined Kwese Sport as a host of the station's breakfast show, Head Start and later became the host of a sport program, Sports Arena.
Sampson began working with GTV in 2005 and then spent time in radio on Accra's Atlantis radio station. She appeared on two daily drive-time shows, Continuous Drive, and Mellow Cruise. Sampson joined Citi FM and appeared on three television shows: Room 973, Rhythms in the Citi and Citi Countdown. Sampson joined YFM Ghana as a host for the weekly show, Shout on Y after two years with Citi FM.
