Carmen Jordá Buades (born 28 May 1988) is a Spanish former motor racing driver.
She served as a development manager for Lotus and Renault Sport Formula One teams from 2015 to 2017.
She became the 11th woman to be a part of a Formula One team's driver line-up following her appointment by Lotus. She was born in Alcoy, Spain, and now lives in Valencia, Spain.
Early life and career
Carmen is the daughter of former motor racing driver Jose Miguel Jordá, who introduced her to the sport at an early age. She began her career in karting before progressing to Master Junior Formula as an adolescent and then into Spanish Formula 3.
Jordá finished fourth in the Copa F300 standings in 2007 – the first podium finishes in the region. She continued to compete in F3 in 2008 and 2009, the first season of the European F3 Open Championships.
She competed in the Le Mans Series for the Q8 Oils Hache Team in 2009, competing in the LMP2 class.
