Elizabeth Jean "Busy" Philipps (born June 25, 1979) is an American actress, writer, producer, and director.
She is best known for her appearances on Dawson's Creek (1999–03) and ER (2006–07), as well as her portrayal of Laurie Keller on ABC's Cougar Town (2009–15), for which she received a Critics' Choice Television Award.
She has appeared in supporting roles in films including The Smokers (2000), Home Room (2002), White Chicks (2004), Made of Honor (2008), He's Just Not That Into You (2009), The Gift (2015), and I Feel Pretty (2018).
Personal life
On June 16, 2007, Philipps married screenwriter Marc Silverstein. They have two children: Birdie, born in 2008, and Cricket, who was born in 2013. In February 2021, the two families separated.
