Personal life
When she was four years old, Kinsella's father was divorced from the family and she was raised by her mother Debbie and stepfather George, who Kinsella has referred to as her "tru father." She lives in Islington, north London, and is the oldest of four children; Jade and Georgia, her two brothers, and Ben.
Simon Boardley, Kinsella's long-term partner, married her on December 28, 2017. Kinsella gave birth to their first child, Elsie Rose Georgia Boardley, on September 22, 2020. Kinsella gave birth to their second child, Ben Ross Boardley, on June 29, 2022.
Ben Kinsella, his 16-year-old brother, was stabbed to death by a gang of three youths in a London street on 29 June 28, 2008. Ben, the seventeenth teen killed in London in 2008, died in hospital a few hours later. Kinsella said she was "devastated."
Hundreds of protesters marched against London's knife and gun laws following Kinsella's death. Three people were arrested with Ben's murder on July 3, 2008, and they were later found and convicted. In an attempt to reduce knife violence, Ben Kinsella's family founded the Ben Kinsella Trust in Ben's memory. Kinsella also expressed her support for the Conservative Party in the run-up to the 2010 general election, and she revealed that she would lead a commission that would determine how grants were distributed to non-profit organizations addressing youth crime.
An anti-knife campaign was launched in Birmingham's New Street Station, funded by the Kinsella Trust, in conjunction with the British Transport Police and Great Barr School's drama group from its Sixth Form center on February 23 and 25. Throughout each of these days in the station's concourse, a play was performed to the public to raise questions about knife crime's effect.
