Brian D. Unger (born November 30, 1965) is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and commentator.
Career
Unger was the first reporter and producer on The Daily Show from 1996 to 1998. He was named one of Entertainment Weekly's 100 Most Influential People in Entertainment while working at The Daily Show in 1998. On VH1, Unger's other television appearances include O2Be, Reno 911!, The Man Show, and several I Love the... shows. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Hollywood Off-Ramp, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Extraordinary, and Zach Galifianakis Live at the Purple Onion.
He gave regular commentary ("The Unger Report") for the NPR show Day from its inception in 2003 to its cancellation in 2009, including his last "Unger Report" on March 16, 2009. He made observations from 2009 to 2012 for NPR's All Things Considered.
