After CCTV ensnared her, a NHS nurse, 47, who stabbed herself outside a hospital and pretended she was the perpetrator of a 'random attack' in a warped plot to demand compensation, was found guilty of wasting police time

A nurse who stabbed herself outside a hospital before claiming to be the perpetrator of a 'random assault' in a compensation lawsuit has been found guilty of wasting police time. Donna Maxwell, 47, of Irvine (left and right) said she was assaulted by a mentally ill patient outside Ailsa Hospital (inset) in Ayr in November 2018. The horrific shooting culminated in an innocent woman being arrested in front of a court before being released. But the NHS health worker's web of lies came crashing down when the jury saw CCTV footage of her purchasing the weapon from Tesco. During a four-day trial in Ayr Sheriff Court, Maxwell maintained that she was the perpetrator of a 'random attack.' However, a jury found her not guilty of a pack of fibs after hearing evidence that she conducted internet searches for 'claim compensation,' before plunging the knife into her own abdomen.

Loch Ness Monstered? In the fear of damaging fish - and possibly even Nessie - a movement has been launched to prevent the construction of any more pumped storage hydro schemes in the water

www.dailymail.co.uk, January 5, 2024
A movement has been launched in the Loch Ness water calling for an immediate halt in the construction of further pumped storage hydro schemes due to concerns that it may endangered the species of wild fish. According to the Ness District Salmon Fishery Board (DSFB), dramatic shifts in the level of the loch as a result of hydro power'industrialization' could result in death for the fragile ecosystem and the Ness' already beleaguered wild salmon. The campaign came after the submission of a planning request for the Loch Pump storage initiative by Statera and the acquisition of the previously approved Red John project by Europe's biggest hydro power generator Statkraft. More than 500 signatures have been collected in a week by a petition calling for a halt on new and larger developments on Loch Ness. The monster is seen on camera, right.
