Career

In 2004, Harding's first television appearance was in a clip for Play School's "Through the Window" segment. The clip featured Harding and her two mothers on a trip to an amusement park and attracted backlash from the media and politicians for showing homosexual children.

Harding began performing in the late 2000s through holiday drama workshops, then moved to television with a role in My Place and a three-episode run in season 3 of Packed to the Rafters. Sue Knight, one of the two young girls in Puberty Blues, was her first major television role, as one of the main characters of the 1979 book of the same name. Harding's participation in the series culminated in her receiving the 2013 Logie Award for Most Popular New Female Talent, as well as being named for the 2013 Logie Award for Best Young Actor at the 2nd AACTA Awards in 2013. In 2017, she appeared in "Arkangel," an episode of the series Black Mirror.
