Billy Gray (born January 13, 1938) is an American actor best known for his role in Father Knows Best, James "Bud" Anderson, Jr.

Gray was born in Los Angeles, to William H. and Beatrice Gray. His mother was an actress, and both of them appeared in Abbott and Costello Meet the Killer, Boris Karloff (in separate scenes), a 1949 horror film. He appeared in more than 200 films. He performed with actors including Humphrey Bogart, Doris Day, Bob Hope, William Holden, Michael Holden, Michael Rennie, Pat O'Brien, and Barbara Stanwyck. He did not attend school and was educated by teachers hired by the film studios, and he was often found having class in tents set up on studio lots. In Jim Thorpe – All-American and starred in the science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still, he portrayed a young Jim Thorpe. In Annie Oakley's pilot episode, he played Tagg "Bull's Eye" Oakley, Annie Oakley's younger brother. He appeared in Father Knows Best, and was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. When he was 16 years old and on the show, his father died while watching it. He was cast as Plato in Rebel Without a Cause, but because of a delay in shooting, he was forced to abandon his service to Father Knows Best. In 1962, he was arrested for marijuana use and served 45 days in prison, effectively ending his acting career. He competed and raced in Class A motorcycle speedway racing from 1970 to 1995.
