Early life
Taylor-Klaus was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to a Jewish family. While in the third grade, Taylor-Klaus began to act in an after-school program, and it became a regular part of their extracurricular and summer sports activities. They also served in a high school improvisation troupe and appeared in a variety of roles before completing high school. They also started a junior high school acting troupe to educate young actors, collaborating with colleagues. Taylor-Klaus was an excellent player, beginning as a catcher on the high school varsity softball team as a freshman and then playing third base. Syd Taylor-Klaus and Josh Taylor-Klaus are two siblings. Taylor-Klaus left Los Angeles in mid-2012 to pursue an acting career while attending Bridges Academy.
Personal life
After playing a key role in The Killing, Taylor-Klaus has a dog named Bullet.
Taylor-Klaus was out as gay on Twitter in November 2016 and said, "hello my name is bex and yes the rumors are true, I am gay." In July 2018, Taylor-Klaus came out in a similar tweet and declared a preference for they/them pronouns over binding.
Taylor-Klaus was diagnosed with ADHD in elementary school and participated in a variety of sports, including baseball, which they said helped with the prevention of it.
Taylor-Klaus got engaged to their girlfriend, actress Alicia Sixtos, and married in October 2020.
Career
When she was in the third grade, Taylor-Klaus began acting in Shakespeare plays. However, Bullet, a homeless lesbian teen on the third season of AMC's crime drama series The Killing, which premiered in 2013, was their first professional acting role. Taylor-Klaus wrote about playing Bullet: "To be an actor is to want to visit the dark places that humans avoid so much."
Taylor-Klaus was a regular character in the CW superhero drama series Arrow from 2013 to 2015.
In the first two seasons of MTV's horror drama series Scream, Taylor-Klaus gained more fame as the starring role of Audrey Jensen, a bi-curious teenager assisting friends in the hunt for a serial killer. They appeared on the television series from 2015 to 2016.
