Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN (Yoruba: Babát Ráj Fásh?lá; born 28 June, 1963) is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who is now Federal Minister of Works and Housing.
He served two terms as Governor of Lagos State from May 29, 2007 to May 29, 2015.

Fashola was born in Lagos on June 28, 1963, in the family of Ademola Fashola, a former journalist with the Daily Times of Nigeria, and Olufunke Agunbiade, a nurse. He has 12 siblings.

Legal career
He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in November 1988 as a solicitor and advocate for the Supreme Court of Nigeria, which he overtook between 1987 and 1988.
The University of Benin Alumni Association has given Fashola, a Notary Public of Nigeria, numerous awards and honors, including the Distinguished Alumnus Award bestowed to him. He is also a winner of the Lagos State public service club's Platinum Award for outstanding contribution to growth. In recognition of their contributions to the party's success, the Alliance for Democracy "Igbogo Bayeku Local Government Award" was given.
Babatunde Fashola is also a patron of the University of Benin's Law Students Association, and he is the second law graduate from the University of Benin and the first member of the Nigerian Law School graduating class of 1988 to be ranked as Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
