Life and career

Known for his role as KC in Cloud 9's The Tribe. He appeared in Series 1-up to 3, alongside a brief appearance in Series 5, and his character became a bit of a Lex protege (Caleb Ross). In 1999, Boyland appeared in The Tribe music video and album Abe Messiah, as well as the 2001 British documentary A Date with the Tribe.

He also appeared in Cloud 9's Revelations: The Beginning and the Disney Channel Original Movie You Wish While attending the New Zealand Children's Academy. Many theatrical and musical performances throughout New Zealand have been featured.

Boyland appeared in the White Trash Omnibus, a play written and directed by Auckland University undergraduate Patrick Graham, with Kate Rylatt and Mike Ginn at the Maidment Theatre in Auckland, New Zealand, in August 2008. He is also supposed to appear in the forthcoming South Pacific Pictures television series Go Girls, based on another play by Patrick Graham. In the children's television series Power Rangers RPM, he played Flynn McAllistair in 2009.

Boyland was born in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, and is a member of the New Zealand Boyland. He is Jewish. He was announced as a cast member of the CBBC family-adventure film Mystic in 2021.
